Ah July! Welcome summer! If you live in New Jersey, like me, this means heat, humidity and regular visits down the shore, complete with trips to the boardwalk and your favorite ice cream parlor. But most of all, it’s a cue to take some time and completely unplug.
Hide your phone. Read a book. Take a nap. And don’t feel guilty about any of it!
I love Emerson’s words for this month to “live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.” This is perfect summertime advice. Slow down and just enjoy today, taking advantage of the joys of the season. Take time off. Be fully present. Rest and refuel. Before you know it, summer will transition to fall and life will pick up its pace again.
Grab this art print and calendar as a reminder to slow down and enjoy summer’s delights. You can download them both here and print them on two pieces of letter-sized paper. Hang it on your fridge or in your office and mark off the days for your next vacation!
