This Privacy Policy describes how and when we collect, use, and share information when you use our website or sign up for our newsletter.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including but not limited to Squarespace, Google Analytics and other Google services, Privy or MailChimp. You can reference their individual privacy policies at the links provided.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

This site collects the following information that you provide to us:

  • EMAIL NEWSLETTER. When you sign up for our email list, you voluntarily provide us with your name and email address. We collect this information via Squarespace, Privy and MailChimp. We will process this information to keep you updated on the latest happenings in the shop, including upcoming sales.

  • CONTACT US. When you submit information on our contact form, you voluntarily provide us with your name, email address, and reason for contacting us. We collect this information via Squarespace. We will process this information for the reason you submitted the form.

This site collects the following information automatically:

  • WEBSITE USAGE INFORMATION. As you navigate this website, we may collect information like how you use the website, what pages you visit, your location, and what devices you use. We collect this information via Google Analytics. We will process this information to give you a better website experience, to improve our website, and create more products and content that you'll love.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about our customers is important to our business. We share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

  • Service providers. We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to our shop, such as newsletter distribution and responding to inquiries via our contact form and email. We will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and as described in our Privacy Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. We generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

We may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, we may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If we am deemed to transfer information about you, we rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

Our Website is not intended for children under 16 years of age. No one under age 16 may provide any information to our Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information to our Website or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or any username you may use.

This site allows users to comment on blog posts. We will not post user-generated content that we deem defamatory, offensive, obscene, spammy, or violating someone else’s intellectual property. All comments are moderated and any comments deemed inappropriate will be removed.

This site contains intellectual property, owned by Elizabeth Colletti, including trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property (pdf patterns, photos, videos, written content, etc.), and she reserves all rights.

However, we want you to share our content. If you would like to share content from the website, or any social media channels, you have permission as long as you abide by the following guidelines:

  • Please use no more than a single paragraph and/or one image on your educational or non-commercial blog, website, or Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumbler or other social media page.

  • Embroidery patterns may be downloaded and stitched for personal use only. They may not be distributed, sold, or given away. Items made from the copyrighted patterns may not be sold.

Purchase of any embroidery pattern, kit, fabric or other product by Beth Colletti Art & Design, does not in any way, shape or form transfer any of the copyrights, or associated licensing rights, to the customer.
