Thanks for stopping by my new blog home!

Hi there! I'm Beth Colletti and welcome to the home of my new art and craft blog! If you followed me here from my old blog, thanks for coming along. And if you’re new, welcome and thanks for visiting!

I had the opportunity to feature 10 pieces in the Wildwood, NJ artBOX on Morey's Piers this summer.

Just to give you a little bit of my story up till now… art and creating have been a big part of my life ever since I was a small child. I drew. I painted. I wanted to work for Disney. I took cartooning classes, mixed media classes, and colored pencil classes. I dove into a career in graphic design after realizing I just wouldn’t have the creative freedom I wanted as a medical illustrator. Then I worked in advertising for several years before craving more meaning in my life, burned out from living behind a computer screen and missing the feel of paint on my hands. I transitioned to a job in ministry for a number of years, taking on a completely administrative role for a change, which allowed time for me to again find myself in art, on my own terms. Only in the last few months have things started to click for me to take the leap and pursue a different aspect of art as a career in mixed media and embroidery, so Beth Colletti Art & Design was born.

I believe this amazing world is full of so much glory and wonder and beauty, but we miss it when our lives are so busy and overflowing with endless activity. And that is oh, so tiring! (Been there TOO many times!) My desire is for the art I create to reflect just an ounce of that wonder which surrounds and enthralls us, and let it woo us to pause, rest and reflect. I’m a firm believer in the spiritual thread found in nature - it too is a unique kind of art, created by an equally unique Artist. Such wonder and beauty arrests and renews us if we will make space for it. I hope you’ll find just a bit of that in the work I create, so I’d invite you to stay and explore this website and blog as I dig into art, crafts, DIY projects and other creative endeavors. I’d love to know a bit about you too, so please feel free to say hello!
